PATNA, June 17 -- An elderly couple ended their lives by jumping before a moving train in Chandan police station of Bihar's Banka, police said on Monday. According to SHO of Chanan police station Bishnudeo, upon being alerted by GRP as well as railway officials on Monday early morning, bodies were recovered between Chanan-Jasidih railway track and sent for postmortem examination after ascertaining their identity as Suresh Das (60) and his wife Surja Devi (55) of Lalmatia village under Chanan PS. An investigation was started to determine the actual reason why the elderly couple died by suicide, he added.
