EC refutes Rahul's claim ondeletions in Bihar voter roll
PATNA, Aug. 21 -- The election authorities in Bihar on Tuesday refuted claims by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, shared on X, showing two villagers - Subodh Kumar of Nawada and Ranju Devi of Rohtas - alleging that their names were deleted during the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of the state's electoral rolls.
Gandhi showcased the two villagers in the course of his public interaction during his state-wide Voter Adhikar Yatra, which began on August 17.
Nawada's district magistrate Ravi Prakash, in a post on X, said that the allegations made by Subodh Kumar were baseless and untrue, as his name was never recorded in the electoral roll at any point.

Vidyalaya, Mahrath, western part, house number 126) to polling station number 10, Subodh Kumar's name was never recorded in the electoral roll at any point.
He further said that Kumar's name also did not figure in the published list of deleted electors, affixed at polling stations on the directive of the Supreme Court, raising serious doubts about procedural lapses in the electoral registration process.
