PATNA, Dec. 7 -- Home minister Samrat Choudhary on Saturday launched Citizen Service Portal (CSP) under the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) at Sardar Patel Bhawan here. This portal aims to directly connect the citizens of Bihar with police services, making the process faster, more transparent, and digitally accessible. Launching the CSP, the home minister-cum-deputy CM said the initiative would bridge the gap between police and the public and strengthen transparency, providing a platform for citizens to access police services seamlessly. This would allow individuals to report crimes, track complaints, and receive updates in real-time, bringing the police closer to the public. The minister further said the portal would also provide information on lost and found items, offering substantial convenience to users. The portal was expected to streamline the process of filing complaints, improving the overall efficiency of the police department in addressing public concerns. "With the launch of CSP, we are ensuring that the people of Bihar can now access police services in a more transparent, digital, and timely manner," said Samrat Choudhary, who emphasised the need for increased transparency, accountability, and swift action within the departments. He also underlined the importance of expanding digital services, which would not only make services more convenient for the public but also enable better crime control and law enforcement. Choudhary further said the expansion of digital services would enhance the speed of police responses, improve crime control efforts, and make law enforcement more effective in the state. Choudhary held a high-level review meeting with the DGP and senior officers. Detailed discussions were held on law and order, crime control, and enhancing the state's digital policing systems. He made it clear that the Home Department will not tolerate any laxity in maintaining law and order. He directed district officials to respond swiftly to crimes, maintain stringent surveillance on criminal activities, and ensure visible policing. In the meeting, Choudhary directed special mechanism to identify those involved in illegal land deals, a real-time monitoring system to curb land fraud, improved traffic management within three months, and monthly meetings between DMs, SPs, and industrial representatives to address issues faced by entrepreneurs.
