ARARIA, Feb. 15 -- The doctor's slap row in Bihar's Araria escalated into a major crisis with private doctors in Araria's Forbesganj remaining on strike for the second day on Saturday in support of the doctor who was allegedly slapped by a senior deputy collector during an inspection. The strike hit private healthcare services in Forbesganj. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) held emergency meetings in Araria and Purnea Saturday evening to further plan a strategy. IMA has demanded suspension of the senior deputy collector and threatened an indefinite strike. "We are holding an emergency meeting today (Saturday) evening to chalk out a strategy," IMA president Araria Mohammad Moiz said.
