Dhanbad, April 25 -- In a significant breakthrough, Dhanbad Police solved a murder case, arresting four accused involved in the killing of a man earlier this month, officials said on Friday. The incident relates to the murder of Rohit Kumar, attacked and killed on March 20 in the Dhanbad police station area. Police said accused -Jeetu Yadav (35), Tarun Yadav, Mahesh Yadav and Muneshwar Hadi-were identified through CCTV footage and local intelligence inputs. Probe revealed that the murder stemmed from an ongoing dispute over a fish-selling business. The accused allegedly assaulted the victim with an iron rod, leading to his death. Weapons used in the crime, including an iron rod, along with motorcycles, mobile phones and other incriminating materials were recovered. City SP Ritwik Srivastava, addressing the media, said, "The accused were identified with the help of CCTV footage and technical inputs. The murder was the result of a business-related dispute, and all four have been arrested. We have gathered crucial evidence to ensure strong prosecution." In a separate incident, Tundi Police solved a snatching case and arrested one accused in connection with the crime reported on April 13 near a liquor shop in Tundi police station area. Two bike-borne criminals had snatched a bag containing Rs.78,750 and a pistol from a man in the afternoon. Acting on CCTV footage and subsequent investigation, police arrested Himanshu Gop (28). A country-made pistol, a live cartridge, Rs.1,120 in cash and other items were recovered from his possession. Raids are underway to arrest his associates. DSP headquarters Dhirendra Narayan Banka, who briefed the media on the Tundi case, said, "The accused was arrested based on technical evidence and CCTV footage. Further investigation is in progress, and efforts are on to apprehend the remaining offenders."...
