DARBHANGA, Dec. 31 -- Darbhanga Sadar police station in Bihar has secured the fifth position at the national level in the "Annual Ranking of Police Stations 2025", conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The ranking recognises police stations for excellence in crime control, service delivery, and community engagement. The latest rankings had been declared at the recently concluded 60th All India conference of DGPs and IGPs held in Raipur. According to the MHA, in Bihar, three police stations were shortlisted for the final evaluation - Tharthari police station in Nalanda district, Alinagar police station in Darbhanga district, and Darbhanga sadar police station. Among them, Darbhanga sadar emerged as the highest-ranked police station from the state. Station House Officer (SHO) Manoj Kumar said he was informed about the achievement through an official email received from the MHA on Monday.
