Darbhanga: Missing BJP MP's son found
DARBHANGA, June 17 -- The son of Ashok Kumar Yadav, BJP MP from Madhubani, who had gone missing from his house in Bengali Tola under Laheriasarai PS since Sunday morning, was found safe on Monday - nearly 32 hours after his disappearance, police said.
The MP's son Vibhuti Kumar Yadav (24) was recovered from Shobhan area under Simri PS following a tip-off from local residents on Monday.
Speaking to the media, MP Yadav said, "My son looks weak and his body is covered with mosquito bites. It seems he hasn't eaten anything since yesterday." Expressing relief, he thanked the locals and the administration for their cooperation in finding out his son.
The MP had filed a missing persons complaint at Laheriasarai police station regarding his son's disappearance. The cyber cell team was also working on this case. According to reports, in one of the CCTV footages he was found walking on state highway near Darbhanga Samastipur border.
Darbhanga Sadar SDPO Amit Kumar said the police team acted promptly on a local resident's information and found Vibhuti near Shobhan in a completely safe condition.
He further informed that Vibhuti was a bright student pursuing academic course in law at a prestigious institute in Delhi.
Based on the CCTV footage evidence the police concluded that Vibhuti had left home on his own. However, he was currently unable to explain the circumstances under which he had left or where he had been, the SDPO said.
The police officer stated that Vibhuti appeared exhausted and was not in a mental state to undergo detailed questioning....
