DA case against engineer after raids at 7 locations
PATNA, March 18 -- The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar police on Tuesday raided seven locations linked to an executive engineer Manoj Kumar Rajak of North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL) on charges of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to the FIR, Manoj Kumar Rajak, posted at Electric Supply division (Madhubani) native of Supaul district owned disproportionate assets (DA) which is 62.66 % more than his known sources of income. The amount is likely to increase after the raids. Manoj's brother Sanjay Rajak also made co-accused in the DA case. Sanjay Razak owned a Engineer HP gas private limited which established on his own land.
Investigation revealed that the land was registered on the name of Sanjay later transferred on the name of Manoj. An Scorpio vehicle bought on the name of gas agency but run in NBPDCL company while the vehicle rent collects in Manoj's account. During searches, EoU found Manoj develop three godown/house at Karjain, one godown at Nirmali and a residential place built at Darbhanga Town. EoU also recovered a NOC paper of 39.14 decimal land for a purposed HP petrol pump on the name of his wife Vinashri Bharti.
The searches were conducted at his native place, office and commercial establishments at Darbhanga, Jainagar in Madhubani, Nirmali, Karjain in Supaul found 17 land related documents valued of Rs.3 crore in open market. These lands located at Araria, Supaul, Darbhanga and Siliguri in West Bengal....
