PATNA, May 26 -- The Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), Bihar's lone university granted Category-1 status by the UGC and rated A++ by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), has officially opened its online registration process for admission to 28 postgraduate (PG) programs for the academic session 2025-26, officials said. The candidates who appeared in the CUET-PG-2025 examination can register online without any prescribed cut-off until June 2, 2025 for a total of 1,208 available seats. The candidates who participated in the CUET-PG-2025 examination are eligible to register for CUSB's counselling and admission process. CUSB vice-chancellor Prof Kameshwar Nath Singh said that there is an increase in the LLM (one-year) program intake from 38 to 50 seats from the new session. The Controller of Examinations (CoE), Dr. Santigopal Pain, issued a detailed notification on the university's official website, www.cusb.ac.in. The results for CUET-PG-2025, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), were released last week, and eligible candidates are now invited to apply online via the dedicated portal: https://cusbcuet.samarth.edu.in/pg/. The seats available in M.Sc programmes are Biotechnology (35 seats), Bioinformatics (45), Environmental Science (45), Life Science (45), Geology (45), Mathematics (45), Statistics (45), Computer Science (45), Artificial Intelligence (45), Physics (45), and Chemistry (45 seats). CUSB also offers M.A./M.Sc. programs in Geography (45 seats) and Psychology (45). Other postgraduate programs available are LLM (50 seats), Master in Data Science & Applied Statistics (45), M. Pharma (Pharmaceutics - 15), M. Pharma (Pharmacology - 15), M.Com. (45), M.A. Journalism & Mass Communication (45), M.A. Sociology (45), MSW (45), M.A. Economics (45), M.A. Political Science & International Relations (45), M.A. History (45), M.A. English (45), M.A. Hindi (45), M.Ed. (63), and MP Ed (40). Deputy Registrar (Academics & Examination) Kumar Kaushal said that the candidates must complete registration on the CUSB Samarth portal and pay the non-refundable registration fee-Rs.500 per programme for General/OBC/EWS and Rs.200 for SC/ST/PwD categories by June 2, 2025. "Only those who register within the deadline will be considered for various rounds of admission, beginning June 11, 2025," he said. adding the program-wise merit list would be exclusively prepared from candidates who have registered for admission within the stipulated timeframe. The first cut-off list will be declared on June 11, 2025, and candidates can submit their admission fees between June 11 to June 15, 2025. If seats remain vacant, a second cut-off list will be released on June 20, 2025, followed by a third cut-off list on June 27, 2025. The final list of admitted students for the academic year 2025-26 will be published on the university's website on July 08, 2025, with classes for PG students commencing from July 14, 2025....
