CSP staff shot at, Rs.5L looted in East Champaran district
BETTIAH, July 2 -- Motorcycle-borne armed criminals shot at and looted Rs.5 lakh from a Customer Service Point (CSP) coordinator in Bihar's East Champaran district on Tuesday, police said.
The victim, identified as Anirudh Kumar, hails from Barkurwa village in Piprakothi block.
The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Pipra police station while he was on duty. Pipra Station House Officer (SHO) Anuj Kumar confirmed the incident and said that no arrests have been made so far.
Police have launched an investigation and efforts are on to identify and apprehend the culprits, who reportedly fled towards the highway after committing the crime. Meanwhile, policemen have been alerted....
