PATNA, Sept. 12 -- The CPI-ML(Liberation), a key constituent of the INDIA bloc in Bihar, would release report of works done by its party MLAs in their respective constituencies as a show of accountability towards the voters and also showcase how the party has remained committed to welfare works in last five years in the state, sources said. The first such report card would be released tentatively on September 16 in Dumraon by sitting ML legislator Ajit Kumar Singh in the presence of party's general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, state secretary Kunal and other party leaders. Party state secretary said that the idea of the report card was to apprise voters as how much work had been done by party MLAs in last five years from their development fund, the questions raised by them in Assembly during sessions regarding the welfare/ development works of their constituencies and also the movements and agitations taken up for welfare of the people. "We plan to hold meetings in all 11 constituencies where we have our MLAs. The report card would be carrying all details of welfare works and various other works done by our MLAs in their respective constituencies to help voters in getting benefits of various development projects," said Kunal. The MLAs get Rs.4 crore annually from the development fund to carry development works in their respective constituencies. Among the other details in the report card would be the works done by MLAs like giving assistance to construct oxygen plants in state hospitals, community centres and passenger sheds in various constituencies, improvement done in schools etc, The CPI-ML has 11 MLAs in Assembly, although it had won 12 seats in the 2020 polls, after one seat fell vacant....
