court extends Q-leak kingpin's remand by 2-day
PATNA, April 29 -- Local court on Monday allowed the economic offences unit (EOU) two more days of remand of Sanjeev Kumar alias Sanjeev Mukhiya in NEET paper leak case. Mukhiya is the mastermind behind the leak of question papers of a number of competitive exams. His 36 hours remand had ended on Monday.
ADG (EOU), N H Khan confirmed about two days remand of Sanjeev Mukhia given by the court for further interrogation.
The EOU had filed a petition in court for seeking to take him on remand for two more days. The court allowed the petition and granted permission to take him on remand for two more days. Soon, the EOU officers left for the jail to take Sanjeev into custody. The special EOU team will interrogate Sanjeev again during remand after expiry of his 36 hours remand.
Sources said that the EOU team had taken Sanjeev Mukhia on remand for about 36 hours....
