Police further said that Ramesh Sao (36), a resident of Ladui village under Dinara police station area, was en route to his in-laws' house in Karup village near Sasaram when the incident occurred. His wife Kanchan Devi (32) and daughter Aradhana (7) died on the spot. His three-year-old son, Aryan Kumar, who sustained critical injuries, died while being rushed to a higher medical centre.
Following the accident, enraged locals and family members blocked NH-120, demanding immediate arrest of the driver, registration of a murder case, adequate compensation to the kin of the deceased, and the construction of speed breakers at the accident-prone stretch.
