PATNA, May 16 -- Since the lockdown began on March 24, the Bihar Police has filed 2,033 cases for violating lockdown norms against 2,139 people. Police have also seized 69,125 vehicles for violation of lockdown or for illegally ferrying passengers or non-essential goods or breaking traffic rules.
Moreover, a total fine of Rs 15.92 crore has been collected by the police from lockdown offenders. There have also been 21 cases of attack on police personnel.
To date, 181 FIRs have been registered by the cyber cell and 99 people have been arrested for forwarding and creating fake and hate messages.
