Cong questions JMM govt over land relief
RANCHI, April 1 -- In a visible rift among the two major allies in the INDIA bloc government headed by chief minister Hemant Soren, the Congress on Tuesday alleged that the deputy commissioners in a few districts are undermining the rights of displaced landowners under the influence of the 'mining mafia'.
Addressing a press conference to outline the party's future programmes, Jharkhand Congress in-charge K Raju said that the party would soon launch an agitation against such officers besides raising the issue with the chief minister.
Speaking on the occasion, Jharkhand Congress chief Keshav Mahto Kamlesh said the inaction and conduct of the Jharkhand police in Hazaribagh and Dhanbad, respectively, regarding recent incidents were 'condemnable'....
