JAMSHEDPUR, Jan. 3 -- Chief minister Hemant Soren is expected to present the Jharkhand Vision-2050 at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, between January 19 and 23, to showcase the state's potential and its journey towards becoming an industrial and economic growth powerhouse, people aware of the development said on Friday.
"The CM is likely to present the Jharkhand Vision-2050 at the WEF in Davos from January 19 to 23 and interact with heads of state, industrial tycoons, policymakers, technology titans, and prospective national and international investors. Discussions are ongoing for a suitable slot for this presentation with the Union government and should be finalised by January 7-8. Jharkhand will also set up its stall in the India Pavilion there," Varun Ranjan, managing director (MD), Jharkhand Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (JIIDCO) and Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA), told HT on Friday.
Jharkhand industry director Vishal Sagar said that preparations for the WEF are underway.
"The logistics partner has been finalised. CM Hemant Soren will lead the Jharkhand delegation and be a part of India's national delegation. He will meet, interact, and have discussions with heads of state, multinational companies, global business leaders, policymakers, and other top corporate brass and investors from across the world," said Sagar.
This will be the first time that Jharkhand will participate in the WEF, as the Centre has included the state in this year's national delegation....
