PATNA, Feb. 2 -- Chief minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi on Saturday welcomed Union Budget 2020-21 as a positive vision document prepared for taking care of the interests of common man and farmers even as Opposition parties termed it as a big letdown for Bihar, saying it lacked requisite measures for reviving the economy.

"It is a positive Budget in the interest of common people. The changes in the income slab rates will benefit the middle class and the incentives for setting up solar grids on fallow land will aid farmers in improving their financial conditions," chief minister Nitish Kumar said.
