PATNA, Feb. 21 -- Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday underlined the need for greater in-depth research on Bihar's rich political legacy since independence, significant political movements and developments, their social impacts and their proper documentation for future generations.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the building of Jagjivan Ram Institute of Parliamentary Studies and Political Research in Patna. The new building has been built at a cost of Rs 7.49-crore, while another Rs 1.70-crore has been earmarked for its furnishing, which would be completed within a month.
