Dehradun, Sept. 7 -- Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday said that tampering with public health will not be tolerated and directed officials to launch an intensive campaign against the manufacture and sale of fake medicines. Chairing a high-level meeting at his residence, Dhami asked district magistrates, police and the health department to work jointly to completely wipe out the fake medicine network. "Strict action must be taken against those involved in manufacturing and sale of fake medicines and their entire network should be dismantled," he said. The CM also said that resolving the problems of families affected by the Dharali disaster and ensuring their rehabilitation was the government's top priority. He instructed the committee headed by the revenue secretary to submit its report soon, adding that large-scale rehabilitation and relief work would follow in other disaster-hit areas. Dhami also directed that a large-scale Swadeshi campaign be launched in Uttarakhand, terming it an important step towards a self-reliant India.
