PATNA, May 8 -- Top politicos of the state, cutting across party lines, praised Operation Sindoor by expressing strong support to India's strike against terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). In a statement, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday praised the action and expressed full faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership after the strong retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack. He also the praised the army and extended support to the Centre's action. "The whole country is united against terrorism. The whole country is proud of the courage and valour of the Indian Army. We all have unwavering faith and pride in the leadership of the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi," Nitish Kumar wrote. The action came in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, which had triggered nationwide outrage. Deputy CM and BJP leader Vijay Kumar Sinha, in a post on X, wrote, "The day Pahalgam terror attack took place, it was decided on that very day that Pakistan's terrorists would no longer be spared." Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, in a video statement shared on X, said, "Long live Hindustan! Long live Indian Army! Jai Hind...India and the Indian Army have never tolerated any form of terrorism or separatist movement in the country, nor will they ever do so...." He also said, "We believe in truth, non-violence, and peace. Those who foster terrorism. If they strike at our unity, integrity, and sovereignty, we know how to unite and deliver a befitting response." Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor also expressed strong support for Operation Sindoor, stating that decisive action against Pakistan's continued attacks on India was long overdue. He emphasised that action taken should be forceful, "Jan Suraaj believes that now that an action is finally being taken, it should happen with such force that these powers cannot rise again." The Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party ( RLJP) also praised India's strike against terror camps in Pakistan by stating that the armed forces action had not only given a befitting reply to those spreading terror but also proved India's political might, military prowess and firm resolve....
