Champai Soren supports stir against RIMS-2
RANCHI, Aug. 19 -- Former Jharkhand chief minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Champai Soren has extended his support to the ongoing agitation against the construction of a second Ranchi Institute of Medical Sciences, RIMS-2, in Nagri's Kanke block, allegedly on agricultural land.
The media in charge of Nagri Zamin Bachao Sangharsh Samiti, Vikas Toppo, told the HT on Monday that Soren had visited the Kanke area on Sunday and is committed to participating in "Hal Joto, Ropa Ropo", a programme of ploughing on the proposed construction site, on August 24.
