Patna, Nov. 17 -- The list of newly elected MLAs was presented to Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Sunday by chief electoral officer, Bihar Vinod Singh Gunjiyal and senior ECI officials at Raj Bhawan. In a post on the CEO, Bihar X handle, it was stated that CEO Bihar, Gunjiyal and principal secretary, ECI Arvind Anand along with other officers presented the list of newly elected members to the state assembly and the notification issued by the ECI in this regard. It may be noted, the ruling NDA has got 202 seats, while opposition seven party Mahagathbandhan coalition has won 35 seats and AIMIM and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) have won five and one seat respectively in the recently concluded Bihar polls, held on November 6 and November 11. Meanwhile, the state election department today revoked the nomination of actress Neetu Chandra as a state icon of SWEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) with immediate effect. In a letter issued, the state election department said Chandra's role as a state icon of SWEEP for voters' education has been ended as she was found to have given political statements, which was contrary to her undertaking that she would npt engage in any political activity as a SWEEP icon.
