PATNA, July 2 -- Continuing his attacks against the Election Commission of India (ECI) over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision ( SIR) in Bihar, leader of the Opposition in the assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Tuesday called the Chief Chief Election Commissioner of India, Gyanesh Kumar, behaving like 'Mr India' for not coming out in public to address issues about the exercise. He also alleged that despite being approached by the Opposition INDIA bloc members, the CEC has not yet given time to meet them. "I ask why the CEC is becoming 'Mr India'. Why is he not holding a presser to clear all the objections and apprehensions being raised by the Ppposition parties? I also ask, why did the ECI did not hold an all party meeting before the SIT to take us all in confidence? Nobody likes fake voters in rolls. Besides, the ECI has not given us time to us so far despite our requests that we are keen share our objections about the SIR and its guidelines, which have been changing very frequently," Yadav said in a press conference in Patna. The RJD leader also said that the 11 documents prescribed by the ECI for submission along with enumeration forms to be filled by electors to establish their citizenship and age above 18 years, as per SIR directives, was totally flawed and was an attempt to strike off names of large number of voters, especially from Dalits, OBCs, EBCs and vulnerable sections. He said that very few people from poor background have documents like birth certificates, matriculation marksheets, propper land records, and other similar papers. He said that poor can't even give their photos with white background as well....
