CBI seeks service book details of IGIMS chief
PATNA, Aug. 15 -- The anti-corruption branch (ACB) of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the allegations of fraudulently used forged OBC non-creamy layer certificates by two AIIMS doctors Dr Harsheet Raj and Dr Kumar Siddhartha, has issued a notice to the Medical Superintendent of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) Hospital and urged him to provide certified Xerox copy of service book of the Dr Binde Kumar, director IGIMS and Dr Prem Kumar (ex-Prof and HoD) department of Radiology.
"The documents may please be provided to the undersigned on August 22, in the letter head through an officer who is conversant with the facts of the documents and whose statement may be recorded in this regard.
This may be treated as Notice under Sections 94 and 179 BNSS," said the letter signed by DSP, CBI, ACB of Patna unit, Surendra Depawat.
The agency has registered a regular case on August 4 against Dr Siddharth and Dr Harsheet under sections of 420/467/468/471 of the IPC on the basis of the written complaint by one Satyendra Kumar on December 23, 2024.
"Preliminary enquiry was conducted by inspector Sanjeeb Kumar, which prima-facie established the commission of the offence," said the official....
