PATNA, Dec. 16 -- A brazen dacoity sent shockwaves across Jamui after a group of eight to ten masked men broke into a businessman's house in Sikandra police station area late on Sunday night, tied up three members of his family for over one hour, and fled with cash, gold and silver worth over Rs.50 lakh. Police said the incident happened at the house of jeweller Mukesh Sao, in the densely-populated area between 11.30pm and 1.30am. Mukesh runs Shakuntala Jewellers and Utensils shop near his house at Mahadev Simaria Bazar. According to police, over half a dozen criminals broke open the door of the house, entered and started looting properties at pistol point. Sao's daughter raised an alarm but the accused tied up the woman and confined her in the bathroom. "There were eight men- all masked and carrying weapons. Two were standing guard outside while six came inside. They held my daughter at gunpoint and did not allow anyone to make any noise," said the victim's wife Renu Devi....
