CAG detects shortcomings in financial control in univs
PATNA, March 26 -- The Comptroller and Auditor General of India ( CAG) in its latest civil report for year 2021-22 having audited various departments has detected financial delays, inadequate financial control in universities and also non-implementation of schemes by the state government. The report was laid in the state assembly by deputy CM and finance minister Samrat Choudhary. The CAG report titled " Performance and Compliance audit-civil' has come up with some startling facts regarding financial control and management in the 14 universities in the state. The report has highlighted that from 2017-2022, against the budget provision of Rs 22,576.33 crore, Rs 4134.21 crore ( 18 percent) had not been utilised and was surrendered to the Education department by the universities, indicating unrealistic budget proposals and inadequate financial control mechanism in the universities....
