Businessman robbed off Rs.10L in Bihar's Saharsa; critically injured
SAHARSA, Nov. 25 -- Four motorcycle-borne miscreants threw chili powder at a businessman and his staff and escaped with a bag containing Rs.10 lakh in Bihar's Saharsa district about 200 km from state capital Patna late Sunday evening, police said. The assailants also shot at the businessman and he is undergoing treatment at a private hospital where his condition was reported critical, they said.
Police said the assailants reached the shop of 40-year-old Gautam Sah, potato-onion dealer at Sonbarsha market under Sonbarsha police station, snatched the bag containing cash after throwing chili powder in his eyes and fled. "They also fired indiscriminately and one bullet hit the businessman in his chest," police said, adding, "Soon he was rushed to Sonbarsha primary health centre where the doctors given his critical condition referred him to the district hospital."
However, police said, they rushed him to a private hospital where the doctors extracted the bullet from his chest after an operation. "But the condition of the businessman is still critical," a doctor said.
SDPO Mukesh Thakur who reached the site soon after the incident said, "We have started a probe and trying to ascertain the identity of the criminals."...
