Bomb hoaxes disturb work at Khagaria & Begusarai courts
PATNA, March 10 -- Two civil courts in Bihar received a bomb threat on Monday, police said. The threat created panic within and outside the court premises of Begusarai and Khagaria districts, temporarily disrupted judicial work before authorities confirmed there was no explosive device.
Police administration have stepped up security after receiving another bomb threat to Begusarai Civil Court as soon after the threat was received.
Following the threat additional police personnel and security forces have been deployed at sensitive points and all visitors entering the court premises are being thoroughly checked and frisked. At the main entrance, the cops ensuring that lawyers, court staff, and members of the public undergo security checks before entering the premises. A bomb disposal-cum-detection and dog squads are conducting an intensive search operation throughout the court campus. Security teams are examining multiple locations within the court complex, including court buildings, judges' chambers, and surrounding premises.
"A bomb threat was received through an email by the court authorities in the morning," said Begusarai SP Maneesh, adding that the sanitization of the court premises has been completed. Nothing has been found yet. We are still checking the court compound thoroughly," he added....
