PATNA, June 5 -- A bomb hoax delayed an IndiGo flight (6E 126) from Patna to Pune by nearly two hours at the Jayprakash Narayan International (JPNI) airport in Patna on Wednesday, said officials. The flight had originated from Ahmedabad. The bomb threat was "non-specific" in nature, said officials. Patna's air traffic control (ATC) received a message around 12.30pm from the ATC Varanasi of a bomb on an IndiGo flight (6E 921) from Ahmedabad to Patna when the aircraft, with 192 people on board, was above Varanasi. What triggered the alert was the IndiGo crew detecting a napkin tissue with "BOOMB" written on it. The crew immediately informed the pilot-in-command, who in turn informed the ATC, Varanasi. The Varanasi ATC relayed the message to the ATC, Patna. Then, the bomb threat assessment committee (BTAC) was activated, and a decision was taken to park the aircraft at isolation bay, said officials. The CISF and IndiGo security officials thoroughly checked the aircraft before it was allowed to fly on its onward journey to Pune....
