PATNA, May 5 -- Patna City police will take Raja Malik alias Sunny on remand for interrogation in connection with the murder of BJP leader Shyam Sundar Sharma alias Munna Sharma (56). Sharma, a former Mandal vice president and active BJP member in Patna Sahib, was shot dead by criminals after they snatched his cellphone near the Ramdeo Mahato Community Hall under Chowk police station around 4:30 am on September 9, 2024 DSP-2, Patna City, Gaurav Kumar said that the police had arrested Raja Malik on April 24 and sent him to the jail in the murder of BJP leader Shyam Sundar Sharma. "During investigation, it came to light that Sunny was also involved in throwing bombs on the police. The police will take him on remand for further interrogation as he is also involved in several cases of murder, loot and dacoity. I hope that several criminal cases will be solved after his interrogation on remand, the DSP further said.
