Jaipur, June 3 -- A 48-year-old worker of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jhalawar was stabbed multiple times to death by six people on Monday over a property dispute, police said. The station house officer of Jhalawar's Mandawar said, "The incident took place around 7am when the victim, Surendra Mewara, was going to visit a temple near his house. The accused could not be identified yet. Prima facie, he was murdered due to some dispute in his property related deals." Police said Mewara ran a property business in Mandawar and was attacked with multiple sharp weapons. "He was stabbed multiple times till he breathed his last. Later, they threw his body off to a field and fled the spot," the SHO said. An FIR was lodged under BNS section 101 (murder). "His body was sent for an autopsy.
