bjp continues protest over pm 'abuse', seeks rahul's apology
PATNA/Bettiah, Aug. 31 -- The protest over indecent remarks on PM and his mother by the BJP leaders continued for second consecutive day on Saturday.
In state capital, BJP leaders held a two-hour silent protest near Bapu's statue at Gandhi Maidan to protest against the derogatory comments on PM Narendra Modi and his mother. During this, Ravi Shankar Prasad demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav and warned of intensifying the movement.
Many senior leaders including MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, Nitin Naveen, Ramkripal Yadav, Dharmashila Gupta and Rituraj Sinha were present in this protest.
Attacking the Opposition Ravi Shankar Prasad MP said, "Using derogatory words for the Prime Minister and his mother is an insult to the entire country. The public will not tolerate this at all. Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav will have to apologise to the country, otherwise the BJP's movement will become more violent."
Protests were also held at Bagaha. The Bagaha unit of the BJP on Saturday burnt the effigies of Rahul Gandhi....
