PATNA, Dec. 6 -- Two motorcycle-borne armed assailants shot and injured Vinod Das, personal secretary of BJP MLA Kedar Gupta, in Muzaffarpur district, police said on Friday. The incident took place at Kudhani in Maniyari police station area around 10.45 pm on Thursday, when the assailants overtook Das and then shot him. Initially, passersby thought that some youths were overtaking each other on bikes, but they were scared after hearing multiple gunshots. Police said Das was returning home after attending a wedding function when he was attacked.
