PATNA, July 1 -- A private coaching institute owner-cum-YouTuber of Bihar's Danapur was allegedly abducted in Myanmar to work as data entry operator in an IT firm. The victim's mother has lodged an FIR in this connection with Danapur police and sought help to get her son back. According to the FIR, Sachin Kumar Singh (39), along with other Indian, Pakistani and Nepali citizens was lured by separate agents, who promised them 'a high-salaried job' in Thailand. The agent lured Sachin on the pretext of work in IT sector and offered $1,000 in salary. Sachin rushed to Thailand via Kolkata on January 15, where his passport and cell phone were reportedly snatched and was he was kept hostage in a dark room. The abductors demanded $5,000 dollar for his safe release. Investigation revealed that fake job offers to youths from Bihar were common through suspicious agents. Upon arrival, they were held captive and forced into different works. The racket was believed to have international connections in countries like Myanmar and others, police said. Sachin's mother Meena Devi lodged the FIR against Nepali citizen Dharmendra Choudhary and Sunil Kumar Ram of Sitamarhi. Dharmendra is the person who took Rs.1.5 lakh for making arrangements to send Sachin abroad. In the FIR, Meena Devi has said that after March 25, the employee of the SAHAI GROUP of Companies, started torturing him, snatched his mobile, passport and gave death threats. Sachin's family said they did not know about USDT and it was only later that Dharmendra provided an Indian bank account number to deposit the money. The bank account is in the name of a woman, whose husband Sunil Kumar is a resident of Singrahia in Sitamarhi. "My younger son Shahil Singh deposit Rs.1.5 lakh cash in three instalments between April 18 and 19. Sachin was later handed over to another company on April 25, while his mobile is now found switched off. He last contacted his family members on June 15 around 7.30 pm from another mobile number. "The emloyees of the private company threatened him of dire consequences. My son earlier contacted us only through WhatsApp call, audio/video, seeking rescue from the clutches of unknown abductors," said Meena, adding the agent had asked to contact Sachin through Wechat app, which was banned in India. "We urge the government to take immediate measures to bring him and others back," she added. SHO of the Danapur police station Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj told HT that police had registered an FIR against the accused under sections of 127 (wrongful confinement), 143 (human trafficking) and 308 (extortion) under BNS Act. "We have detained Sunil Kumar for further interrogation. He revealed the name of one Michael and Dharmendra who trapped the youth for job abroad. Police scanned the bank account details of Sunil and his wife. A detailed investigation report has been sent to the Indian embassy through MEA," he added....
