PATNA, Aug. 6 -- The Bihar government's Industries Department on Tuesday unveiled the much-awaited Biofuel Production Promotion (Amended) Policy 2025 during the "Bihar Biofuel Dialogues 2025" event. The programme was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Industries Minister Nitish Mishra. Described as a visionary step toward promoting green energy, the policy aims to encourage the production of Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG), enhance farmers' income, and accelerate sustainable development in the state. In his address, Deputy CM Choudhary stressed the need for Bihar to adopt alternatives like CBG. "The time is ripe to realise the 'Waste to Wealth' vision, which will bring economic, environmental, and social benefits to the state. This policy lays a strong foundation for a greener Bihar in the years to come," he said. Industries Minister Nitish Mishra said the policy is designed to foster innovation, attract investment, and promote enterprise in the biofuel sector. "It not only underscores Bihar's commitment to green energy but also opens up new opportunities for farmers. Bihar is poised to emerge as a leading state in biofuel production. This is a major step toward the Prime Minister's vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India)."...
