Bihar Hooch tragedy kingpin arrested
BETTIAH, April 11 -- In its crackdown on the liquor mafia following last week's hooch tragedy in East Champaran, Bihar police arrested the alleged kingpin, Lavkush Yadav. Based on information he provided, four police teams have been dispatched to Ghaziabad and Noida in Uttar Pradesh to apprehend the operatives of the firm that supplied the poisonous spirit used to prepare spurious booze.
His accomplices, identified as Kanhaiya Yadav and Raja Ram, were arrested earlier.
Sharing this information, police officers said that Yadav, a resident of Sabaiya village under Kotwa police station in East Champaran, was the key supplier of the spirit. He was arrested on Thursday and produced in court on Friday....
