PATNA, Jan. 10 -- In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Bihar government on Friday transferred 23 IAS officers, including several deputy development commissioners (DDCs), municipal commissioners and SDOs. Samir Saurabh (2019-batch IAS officer, who was serving as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-chief executive officer (DDC-cum-CEO) of Patna district council, has been posted as the new managing director of the Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation Ltd (Comfed). Among other key changes, Deepak Kumar Mishra (2019 batch), who was municipal commissioner of Nalanda, has been shifted to the CM's secretariat as joint secretary with additional charge of additional director, Bihar Vikas Mission, Patna. Abhishek Palasiya (2020 batch), earlier DDC-cum-CEO of Khagaria district council, has been appointed commissioner of Gaya municipal corporation. Kumar Nishant Vivek (2020 batch), previously DDC of Gopalganj, will now take over as commissioner of Bihar Sharif municipal corporation, Nalanda, in place of Shrikanth Kundlik Khandekar (2020 batch), who is new DDC of Patna. In further postings, Shubham Kumar (2021 batch) has moved from commissioner, Bhagalpur municipal corporation, to DDC-cum-CEO, Nalanda district council. Shivakshi Dikshit (2021 batch) has been transferred from commissioner, Munger municipal corporation, to commissioner, Bettiah municipal corporation, West Champaran. Surya Pratap Singh (2021 batch) shifts from DDC-cum-CEO, Kaimur (Bhabhua), to DDC-cum-CEO, Samastipur district council, while Lakshman Tewary (2021 batch) moves from commissioner, Bettiah municipal corporation, to DDC-cum-CEO, Saran (Chhapra) district council. Officers of the 2022 batch have also seen new assignments: Parth Gupta, previously SDO, Purnia, is now commissioner, Munger municipal corporation; Ashish Kumar, SDO, Barh, Patna, takes over as commissioner, Motihari municipal corporation; Kislaya Kushwaha, who was SDO, Mahua, Vaishali, is new commissioner, Bhagalpur municipal corporation; Gajendra, formerly SDO, Bagaha, West Champaran, is new DDC-cum-CEO, Gopalganj district council; and Kajale Vaibhav Nitin, who served as SDO, Bihar Sharif, Nalanda, has been appointed DDC-cum-CEO, West Champaran (Bettiah) district council. At the sub-divisional level, several officers have been transferred and granted executive magisterial powers under Section 14 and powers under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, for their respective jurisdictions. Kritika Mishra (2023 batch) moves from SDO, Gogari, Khagaria, to SDO, Patna Sadar; Akanksha Anand (2023 batch) shifts from SDO, Barsoi, Katihar, to SDO, Muzaffarpur (West); Rohit Kardam (2023 batch) goes from SDO, Sheikhpura, to SDO, Naugachhia, Bhagalpur; Divya Shakti (2022 batch) transfers from SDO, Danapur, Patna, to DDC-cum-CEO, Kaimur (Bhabhua) district council; Shweta Bharti (2022 batch), who was awaiting posting, is now DDC-cum-CEO, Khagaria district council; Garima Lohia (2023 batch) moves from SDO, Paliganj, Patna, to SDO, Barh, Patna; and Aniruddha Pandey (2023 batch) shifts from SDO, Mohania, Kaimur, to SDO, Danapur, Patna....
