Udaipur, July 26 -- A final-year BDS student of a private dental college in Udaipur died was found dead in her hostel room, police said, adding they have recovered a suicide note in her possession. According to police, the 25-year-old woman was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her hostel room by her roommate in the premises of Bhilwara dental college on Thursday night. She alerted the college authorities who informed the police. "We found a suicide note in her possession. In the note, she levelled serious allegations against the college staff, accusing them of mental harassment and torture. Further investigation on the matter is underway," Sukher Station House Officer Ravindra Charan said. Following the incident, students of the college staged a protest on Friday morning and started a sit-in demonstration in the campus. The woman took this extreme step due to continuous pressure and harassment from the college administration. "We rushed to the spot on receiving the information. We have tried to pacify the protesters. The situation is under control," deputy superintendent of police (SP) Kailash Boriwal said....
