PURNEA, Jan. 17 -- The Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour, achieved a major distinction in agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship by securing awards in both Startup and Incubation categories at the state-level programme "Avinya 2.0 - Bihar 2026", organised on the occasion of National Startup Day on Friday. The event was held at the Chandragupt Institute of Management (CIMP), Patna. The awards were conferred following a rigorous state-level evaluation in which 46 Startup Cells and 22 Incubation Centres from across Bihar participated. In this competitive assessment, the BAU secured 2nd rank in the Startup category and 3rd rank in the Incubation category, reaffirming the university's strong institutional performance and leadership in promoting an inclusive and impact-oriented startup ecosystem in the state. Talking to HT over phone, the vice-chancellor (VC) of BAU Sabour, Dr DR Singh, said, "Receiving recognition in both Startup and Incubation categories reflects the university's innovation-driven work culture, institutional commitment, and strong team spirit.
