PATNA, June 21 -- The monsoon session of the state legislature will begin from July 21 and conclude on July 26, as per a notification issued by the parliamentary affairs department. The five day monsoon session will have five sittings of the state assembly and state legislative council in which several important legislative business would take place. This will be the last session of the present government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as assembly elections are due in October-November this year. As per the notification, ordinances passed in the interregnum period between the last budget session and monsoon session would be placed in the state assembly on the first day apart from other legislative business in the lower house.
