PATNA, Oct. 15 -- An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police, Suman Tirki, posted at Rajgir police station in Nalanda, allegedly shot himself in the head with his service revolver on Tuesday. Tirki, a resident of Ghaghra police station in Gumla district of Jharkhand, was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Nalanda Superintendent of Police (SP) Bharat Soni, who reached the spot with DSP Sunil Kumar Singh and officers from several other police stations, confirmed that the ASI died by suicide on the Rajgir police station premises. The Rajgir police station entrance was subsequently sealed off, and the forensic team was called to gather evidence. A probe has also begun into it....
