PATNA, May 15 -- The revenue department has directed all government departments to upload the land related documents in their possession in the government land mutation portal for mutation and opening of jamabandi records, officials said. On Wednesday, a high level meeting chaired by additional chief secretary Dipak Kumar Singh was held in which railways, airport authority of India ( AAI) , department of telecommunications, BIADA, AIIMS, and defence ministry officials participated, as per a press statement. The ACS, revenue said the uploading of land related documents regarding land in possession of the government departments was necessary as it would help in carrying the process of mutation and also opening jamabandi records ( record of rights) through online mode. The ACS said land in possession of government department were either in form of land transfer or land acquisition. Further, the ACS also issued directives to revenue officials to address issues regarding land mutation in railway colony Danapur and also in railway division , Sonepur and Samastipur as well as Danapur cantoment, AIIMS, Darbhanga and AIIMS, Patna. The officials of AIIMS, Patna and AIIMS, Darbhanga have been asked to coordinate with revenue officials for carrying mutation/jamabandi of land given to these institutions by the state government, officials said. The state government is carrying the special land survey in Bihar and is in the process of digitising all land records after due process of mapping and verification. The survey would also enable the state government to get an proper information of government land as well as such government land parcels which are in illegal possession by unscrupulous elements through encroachment, officials said....
