AK-47 rifle, 175 live cartridges seized in GAya Ji
PATNA, Aug. 29 -- An AK-47 rifle and 175 live cartridges were recovered from the forested and hilly areas of Fatehpur under the jurisdiction of Imamganj police station in Gaya Ji district along the Jharkhand border, police said on Thursday.
Gaya Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anand Kumar Singh said that the recovery was made during a special operation launched on the basis of specific intelligence inputs that Maoists had hidden arms and ammunition in parts of the Fatehpur forest.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against unidentified people under relevant sections of the Arms Act at Imamganj police station, and further investigation is underway, the SSP added....
