AIIMS jr docs put off strike after probe assurance
PATNA, Aug. 7 -- The Resident Doctors' Association (RDA) of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Patna practically ended their indefinite strike after five days, though in statement at 10.51pm on Tuesday, it said the strike was being kept in abeyance for 10 days.
The RDA, which was demanding quashing of the FIR against a medico and a security staff of AIIMS by a legislator, decided to keep in abeyance its strike following a meeting the medicos had with Patna SSP Kartekay Sharma on Tuesday. The SSP, claimed the medicos, assured the doctors of a transparent, impartial and time-bound investigation into the case.
