PATNA, July 31 -- Days after a residential certificate was issued to one "Dog Babu" in Patna, sparking controversy, a similar incidents occurred in Nawada and Jehanabad districts of Bihar. In Nawada, an application for a residential certificate was submitted in the name of "Dogesh Babu" along with a photo of a dog, prompting the district magistrate to initiate legal action. The online application was submitted by a person in the Sirdala RTPS office, demanding a residential certificate for a pet dog. "Such tampering with administrative processes is not acceptable. Action will be taken against the culprits," said the DM Ravi Prakash, who ordered the Sirdala CO Abhinav Raj to register an FIR against the accused. He wrote on social media platform, "Copycats. or rather copycats, were caught trying to apply for a residence certificate from Sirdala, Rajauli. FIR is being registered for cheap and cheap humour-satire." Sirdala CO said that the matter came from the RTPS counter that an online application was received on Tuesday. The gender of the pet was marked as male. He said that the applicant's name was Dogesh Babu, a male. His father's name was listed as "Dogesh's Papa" and his mother's name as "Dogesh ki mummy." He was from Kharondh village of ward number-11, in Sirdala block and Nawada district, along with some other details. SHO of Sirdala police station Mohan Kumar said that an FIR under Section 319 (2) (fraud), Section 340 (1), 340 (2) (fraudulent use of electronic records), misuse of government system, Section 335, 241 (forgery) and Section 66D (fraud and impersonation through computer resources) of the I-T Act 2000 registered against the applicant. In Jehanabad, an online application was received for an income certificate for a mobile phone. The application was submitted with the Modanganj block office of Jehanabad for issuance of an income certificate through an online process in the name of Samsung mobile phone. The names in the application, including the applicant's name, father's name, and mother's name, were all based on mobile brands. The applicant's name was Samsung, father's name was iPhone, mother's name was Smartphone, address was Battery and post office was Lid. This case came to light when the application reached the circle office. SDO Asif Hussain, took immediate cognizance and started an investigation into the matter. He stated that this act has been carried out by some anti-social elements with the intention of tarnishing the government's image. Taking the matter seriously, a complaint has been lodged at the Cyber Police Station. Meanwhile Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav has attacked the government. "Under Nitish Babu's government, fraudulent documents like 'Fake Dog Babu', Sonalika tractors, and residential certificates for Sunny Leone can be issued; such fraudulent government systems can consider the certificates valid for voter verification, but the genuine residential certificate of a real Bihar voter cannot be issued based on the real Aadhaar card! This is the reality of the Special Intensive Revision," he posted on X....
