PATNA, June 11 -- The economic offence unit (EoU) of Bihar police registered an FIR against nine personnel including additional secretary of Bihar Legislative Council (BLC) for the theft and deletion of data from a computer of the Council, officials said on Tuesday. The FIR was registered on the basis of the written statement of Deputy Secretary Sanjay Kumar under sections of 241/303 of BNS and 65/72 IT act. The data theft from the computer of BLC Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh. Following a complaint from Singh, a cyber cell team from the EOU sealed the affected computer and began a detailed examination. The Chairman had reported that important data appeared to be missing from his system, prompting immediate action by the authorities. The computer was in room 24 in the extended building of the council. Investigators now believe that the data may have been deliberately deleted or stolen....
