8 minor children rescued from traffickers in Bihar
SASARAM, June 6 -- In a joint raid under Operation Aahat, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) activists rescued eight minor children from the clutches of traffickers aboard a Mumbai-bound express train at Sasaram railway station on Thursday morning. Police said that two traffickers were also arrested and they were identified as Sonu (30), a resident of Gosai Pasar village, and Brahmdev Yadav (39), of Pakadi village, both in Gaya district.
BBA assistant project officer Chanda Gupta and her team tracked the traffickers at Dehri-on-Sone station, where they had boarded the 12321 Up Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Mail. They alerted the RPF police station at Sasaram, the next stoppage. As the train arrived at Sasaram, RPF teams led by inspector Sanjeev Kumar and sub-inspector Jitendra Singh entered the coaches, rescued the children, and arrested the traffickers, said SP, rail, Patna, Amritendu Shekhar Thakur....
