8,776 villages service-ready under project BharatNet: mp
Jaipur, March 31 -- The BharatNet project in Rajasthan has made significant progress, with 8,776 gram panchayats now being service-ready under Phase-I and Phase-II of the initiative. The government has also allocated a total of Rs.2,025.55 crore for the project in the state, which has been fully utilised to date. As part of the ongoing Amended BharatNet Programme (ABP), efforts are underway to expand connectivity further, including providing broadband to villages, which are not under the gram panchayats, on demand, said minister of state for communications and rural development Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar said in the Lok Sabha on Saturday....
