67th batch: Bihar gets 26 probationer DSPs
PATNA, June 15 -- The passing out parade of the 67th batch of probationer Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) was held at the Bihar Police Academy (BPA), Rajgir, on Saturday. Director General of Bihar Special Auxiliary Police (BSAP), Amrendra Kumar Ambedkar, hoisted the police flag and took the salute from an impressive march-past by police contingents.
The batch comprises 26 officers - 19 men and 7 women. Among them, ten DSPs are engineering graduates, six are postgraduates, and one holds an MBA degree. All the officers were directly recruited to the Bihar Police through the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) in the rank of DSP.
Addressing the gathering, DG Ambedkar lauded the dedication of the probationers and reiterated the state government's initiatives aimed at strengthening law enforcement. He described it as a proud moment for the officers' parents and families and urged the new officers to become role models for society and the younger generation.
He highlighted the critical role DSPs play in ground-level leadership, maintaining law and order, and guiding the police force. He exhorted them to uphold the highest standards of professional excellence, integrity, and honesty to meet the expectations of the public, the government, and the police organization.
He also encouraged the officers to embrace technology in daily policing tasks while cautioning them against misusing the power entrusted to them.
The DG expressed his gratitude to BPA Director-cum-Additional Director General R Mallar Vizhi Danesh Rana, the indoor and outdoor faculty members, and the entire BPA fraternity for their efforts in grooming the new generation of police officers....
