PATNA, Dec. 12 -- In a minor reshuffle, the Bihar government has transferred six IAS officers and assigned them new responsibilities. The government issued the notification on Thursday evening, affecting changes in the divisional commissioner positions , along with appointments in three newly formed departments. According to the notification, 2004 batch IAS officer Abhay Kumar Singh, secretary, urban development and housing board, is now shifted to food and consumer protection department in same capacity. He was also given the additional charges of information technology department and MD of Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd and Bihar State Food & Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. Divisional commissioner, Saran, Rajiv Roushan has been appointed new secretary, higher education department. Secretary, prohibition, excise and registration department, Ajay Yadav, who was holding additional charge of the education department, has now been relieved from the responsibilities. Similarly, divisional commissioner of Darbhanga Kaushal Kishore has been made secretary of youth, employment and skill development department. Bhagalpur divisional commissioner Himanshu Kumar Rai is replacing Kaushal Kishore at Darbhanga. Awnish Kumar Singh, divisional commissioner of Munger has been given additional charge of Bhagalpur divisional commissioner. Special secretary in the cabinet secretariat Nilesh Ramchandra Deore, has been appointed special secretary in the newly formed civil aviation department and will continue to hold additional charge of MD, Bihar Medical Services and Infrastructure Corporation Limited. Megha Kashyap, deputy collector of land reforms in Mahnar (Vaishali), has been relieved to join as joint director, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). Sunil Kumar, settlement officer of Buxar, has been appointed private secretary to Surendra Mehta, minister for animal and fisheries resources.
